The licenses you acquire must be activated within 12 months after the date of purchase, and then you will have the possibility to use them forever. Additionally, a single license of the software will cost you around 159$, but until the 15th of May 2015, the discount of 50 % is available. Inventoria uses its own database type, which means that it saves items into a proprietary database file. There isn't anything complicated about this thing. The EXE file may be small, but it has been carefully developed to be flexible and portable across the network. It has also been heavily compressed, which results in a very small file size.
Question is on the security features of the software. How can you put a password on it? As in password the whole Inventoria to be accessed by only the required users?

You can't assign a password for your database because the software doesn't offer this possibility. I have installed and checked all the options available in the application and I couldn't find something related to password protection. You can use an easy way by archiving the database file and assigning a password for it and that's it. You can use WinRAR for this operation.
